The finale of the 2017 Acme Works Pitch Competition was hosted at Acme Works on Wednesday, November 15. Five member companies presented in front of three judges and an audience of 60 Acme members, friends and family. The competition, sponsored by the Corpfinance Group of Companies, began in September with nine participants. The Judges Kevin Andrews, CEO, CFI Group, Graham McBride, President of Larch Hill Capital and Brady Gilchrist, Serial Entrepreneur selected the five finalists, 9thZero, Peersway Marketing, Chillwall, Sentiric and Influence Digest. Peersway were declared the winner taking home $10,000, quarterly mentoring and business guidance from the Judges and the coveted Anvil Trophy. “The caliber of innovation and the quality of the pitches was very high” said Kevin Andrews. “We had a tough time selecting a winner!”. “This is the way we like to bring our community together, foster innovation and support start-ups and new ventures” said Christine Andrews, Founder of Acme Works. “I couldn’t be prouder of our members and the community, it was a great event!” Acme will host a pitch competition again in 2018.
